Mumbai

Meine Ayurvedabehandlung ist zu Ende, dem Rücken geht es besser, deutlich besser, wenn auch nicht perfekt. Ich habe inzwischen ein neues Problem mit meinem Daumen, aber das ist nicht so spannend 😉 - ich werde offenbar nicht jünger.
Wir waren drei Tage in Mumbai, von wo wir dann nach Europa geflogen sind. Mumbai hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben unsere Zeit in den schönen touristischen Orten verbracht, d.h. wir haben die Slums nicht besucht. Überrascht haben uns die vielen schönen Bauten vor allem im Art-Déco- und Neugotik-Stil. Das Meer war natürlich toll: für uns hat sich der Himmel in strahlendem Blau gezeigt, und wir hatten ein Zimmer im obersten Stock eines Hotels am Meer mit einer Fensterwand und vollem Blick aufs Meer und die andere Seite der Bucht. Fantastisch!
Wir haben auch sehr gut gegessen und einiges gesehen. Ein paar Eindrücke notiere ich gern mit den Bildern.

My Ayurvedic treatment is over; my back is better – much better, though not perfect. I’ve now got a new problem with my thumb, but that’s not exactly exciting 😉 – I’m obviously not getting any younger.
We spent three days in Mumbai, from where we then flew to Europe. We really liked Mumbai. We spent our time in the lovely tourist spots, meaning we didn’t visit the slums. We were surprised by the many beautiful buildings, particularly those in the Art Deco and Neo-Gothic styles. The sea was awesome, of course: we were blessed with a brilliant blue sky, and we had a room on the top floor of a seaside hotel with a floor-to-ceiling window offering a full view of the sea and the other side of the bay. Fantastic!
We also ate very well and saw quite a bit. I’d like to share a few impressions along with the photos.

Mon traitement ayurvédique est terminé, mon dos va mieux, nettement mieux, même si ce n’est pas encore parfait. J’ai maintenant un nouveau problème avec mon pouce, mais ce n’est pas très intéressant 😉 – apparemment, je ne rajeunis pas.
Nous avons passé trois jours à Mumbai, d’où nous avons pris l’avion pour l’Europe. Mumbai nous a beaucoup plu. Nous avons passé notre temps dans les beaux sites touristiques, c’est-à-dire que nous n’avons pas visité les bidonvilles. Nous avons été surpris par les nombreux beaux bâtiments, notamment de style Art déco et néogothique. La mer était bien sûr magnifique : pour nous, le ciel s’est montré d’un bleu éclatant, et nous avions une chambre au dernier étage d’un hôtel au bord de la mer avec une baie vitrée et une vue imprenable sur la mer et l’autre côté de la baie. Fantastique !
Nous avons également très bien mangé et vu pas mal de choses. Je note volontiers quelques impressions avec les photos.

Impressionen vom Taj Mahal Palace. Dieses Hotel wurde von Herrn Jamsetji Tata gebaut, weil er als Inder nicht in die schönen europäischen Hotels hereingelassen wurde. So hat er kurzerhand eines der luxuriösesten und schönsten Hotels an bester Lage errichten lassen. Die Eröffnung war in 1903.
Impressions of the Taj Mahal Palace. This hotel was built by Mr Jamsetji Tata because, as an Indian, he was not allowed into the beautiful European hotels. So, without further ado, he had one of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels built in a prime location. It opened in 1903.
Quelques impressions du Taj Mahal Palace. Cet hôtel a été construit par M. Jamsetji Tata, car, en tant qu'Indien, il ne pouvait pas entrer dans les beaux hôtels européens. Il a donc décidé sans hésiter de faire construire l'un des hôtels les plus luxueux et les plus beaux, dans un emplacement de choix. L'inauguration a eu lieu en 1903.
